On Wednesday, Cokethorpe School was delighted to welcome sixteen pupils and two staff members from Hatherop Castle School as part of their Arts Week celebrations.
With the theme To Infinity and Beyond, the day was filled with creativity, collaboration, and cosmic inspiration, as pupils immersed themselves in a series of vibrant, hands-on workshops exploring the moods and magic of the planets.
The visiting pupils began the day with an energetic music session led by Mr Benedict Wilson, where rhythm and imagination combined to create interstellar soundscapes. They then joined Mrs Helen Hammond for a creative art workshop, producing expressive, space-themed artwork that captured the wonder of the universe. In the afternoon, the energy continued with a dynamic dance session delivered by Miss Sarah Naylor, which encouraged pupils to explore movement and storytelling through space-inspired choreography.

The dance workshop was supported brilliantly by four of our Third Form pupils – Tibby, Ruby, Brook and Julia – who led with confidence and enthusiasm, embodying the collaborative spirit of the day.
It was a joy to host such enthusiastic and imaginative young artists. Our thanks to Hatherop Castle School for joining us – we look forward to future opportunities to share and celebrate the arts together.
