Offering an exciting range of activities for children who love adventures, team sports and having fun.

Making full use of the beautiful 150-acre parkland grounds and facilities, we offer multi-activity sessions for three different age groups, alongside action-packed Water Sports two-day courses. Your child does not need to be a pupil at Cokethorpe to book onto any of our sessions.

The days all run from 8.30am to 5.30pm, with the core activities programme beginning at 9.00am and running to 4.30pm.

Sessions can be booked per day, or for multi-booking combinations for which a discount may apply.

What to expect

Multi-Activity Camp, Ages 5 to 7

Cokethorpe Camps 5 to 7 focuses on delivering exciting, creative and fun activity days for children of similar ages. Experienced and knowledgeable staff will deliver a range of activities across the school site encompassing outdoor play, creative art, teamwork through sport and discovery through outdoor learning.

Each week will take on a different theme, from dinosaurs to outer space. This group will be based in the Pre-prep classrooms with direct access out onto the fields and woodland as well as access to the sports hall, Astros and theatre.

A typical day could have children working together completing space puzzles in the classroom, making rockets in the art room, searching the woods for aliens and finishing on robots vs aliens in the sports hall.  

Please note that 7-year-olds can choose to either join the 5 to 7 or 7 to 9 age groups. This selection needs to be completed on sign up as space will likely be limited on the day. Please feel free to contact camps@cokethorpe.org for further information.  

Multi-Activity Camp, Ages 7 to 9

There is an exciting range of activities for children who love sports, creativity, and the outdoors, delivered by engaging and experienced staff. We make use of the beautiful 150-acres of parkland, including bushcraft areas, golf course, art rooms, climbing tower, sports hall and common rooms. 

The itinerary is designed to help encourage children to make new friends and try new activities in a supportive and engaging environment.

A typical day could see children playing bat and ball games on the fields, building challenge in the sports hall, playing capture the flag around the school grounds and woodland craft activities to finish. Some activities can be chosen by the children, for example, a dance challenge in the theatre or outdoor games on the Astros. 

Please note that 7-year-olds can choose to either join the 5 to 7 or 7 to 10 age groups. This selection needs to be completed on sign up as space will likely be limited on the day. Please feel free to contact camps@cokethorpe.org for further information. 

Multi-Activity Camp, Ages 10 to 13

Cokethorpe Camps offers an exciting range of activities for children who love adventure, team sports and having fun. We make use of the beautiful 150-acres of parkland, including bushcraft areas, golf course, art rooms, climbing tower, sports hall and common rooms. 

A typical day will involve team games in the sports hall, adventurous activities in the woods and creative challenges in the art room. Activities are designed to help encourage children to make new friends and have fun in a supportive environment. Each day will see new activities but follow a pattern of sporting activities, art and craft challenges and outdoor activities. 

Watersports, Ages 8 to 11 and 11 to 14

An action-packed two-day course dedicated to children having fun out on the water. Both days will be based out of the newly rebuilt boathouse with direct access to the River Thames, with paddle sports including kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding forming the core of the activities. 

Technical aspects will be taught alongside fun games, activities and short journeys. There will be lots of splashing around and having fun! Over the two days, children will have the opportunity to gain their Paddle Discover Award certificate. 

Due to the nature of this course, all participants must be able to follow instructions, be able to swim 50m and have suitable clothing/footwear. Further information on this will be communicated after booking.
