On 14 June, the Build-a-Bike AOB culminated in the launch of their restoration project, the Cokethorpe BSA Bantam motorcycle. Resplendent in bright ‘Post Office’ red, this glorious little machine from the 1960s has taken three years to restore, thanks to an inspired suggestion by Cokethorpe alumni Henry Kerton (then a Lower Sixth student), and the responsibility and ambition shown by a group of pupils of students from First to Upper Sixth Form. The Bantam was unveiled by its former owner, with members of the BSA Bantam Owners Club in attendance. The machine will eventually be on display in the school.
