It was the turn of our intrepid Year 6 pupils to embark on their adventure to the Kilvrough Manor Centre in Swansea for their three-night residential trip.
The group were certainly not short of activities to keep them entertained during their visit. Day activities included: canoeing in a canal, abseiling off ledges near the beach, scrambling over the rocks near the breaking waves, a coastal walk and a session creating their own beach art. Evening activities included orienteering around the centre’s grounds and a walk to the ruins of the 12th-century Pennard Castle.
The final evening was spent around the fire pit roasting marshmallows – many to perfection. Throughout their stay, pupils had to show initiative and a good work ethic as they worked in groups to serve meals to their peers at the centre and tidy up afterwards. The group received many positive responses from the staff at Kilvrough, and they will all take many fond memories home from their trip.
