On Wednesday 22 January, the First XV travelled to Devon for the annual Mount Kelly Rugby Tens tournament. After flying through a group including Truro School and Plymouth College, the semifinals loomed against the favourites, Millfield School. Once again, Cokethorpe had too much quality for their opponents, setting up a mouthwatering final against the hosts, Mount Kelly.
After a blistering start from the home team going into a 5-0 lead, Cokethorpe remained calm and resolute, trusting their processes and skill set to storm back to win the game 12-5 with tries from Zack (Upper Sixth, Gascoigne) and Fletch (Upper Sixth, Feilden) igniting rapturous joy and celebration amongst the players, coaches and parents. Huge congratulations to our First XV on an outstanding performance and fantastic result.
