What an electrifying day of football action we had at the Society of Heads National Football final last week Wednesday, as Cokethorpe School’s U16 and First XI teams showcased their talent and determination on the pitch!

In an exhilarating showdown, our U16s demonstrated their trademark aggression, energy, and teamwork against Oswestry School. Despite facing a tough challenge and trailing 1-0 at halftime, the boys rallied together, with Jonty (Fifth Form, Queen Anne) netting a crucial equaliser. With relentless pressure, they pushed forward, ultimately clinching a 3-1 victory in extra time thanks to goals from Ed (Fifth Form, Vanbrugh). Coach, Mr. Gale, summed it up perfectly, highlighting the incredible support from both the teams and our loyal parents, making it a day to remember for Cokethorpe football!
