Parent Workshop – Smart Phones

Our next workshop is scheduled for the evening of Tuesday 18 March and will entirely focus on smartphone use: ‘Navigating the Digital Era: Research-Informed Solutions for Healthy Smartphone Use in Children and Teens’. This solutions-based session will feature Will Orr-Ewing from Smartphone Free Childhood (Smartphone Free Childhood) as our guest speaker, alongside discussions on neuroplasticity in the teenage brain, safeguarding and smartphones, and what steps Cokethorpe is taking in School to tackle this.

Our workshop will cover critical topics such as neuroplasticity and why the teenage brain is so vulnerable to the effects of excessive screen time. Exploring claims that smartphone use has been linked to a rise in anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. We will explore the latest research findings, and together, we will discuss actionable solutions to help our children and teens navigate the digital landscape safely and effectively.

This is a parent-only workshop, open to ALL parents (Cokethorpe or other) and is not suitable for your children to attend with you.
