Many congratulations from all at Cokethorpe to our Fifth Form pupils as they celebrate their GCSE results today. With half of all grades awarded at 9-7 and three quarters at 9-6, pupils should be rightly proud of their accomplishments.
There were particular successes in the Sciences, History, Drama and Modern Foreign Languages, where a high proportion of the grades awarded were within the 9-8 bracket. There were five pupils this year who achieved straight 9-8 grades, and many more for whom today’s results validate the hard work and progress made over their time at the School.
Dr Sarah Squire, incoming Head, said: ‘I was delighted to join the Cokethorpe community to celebrate the achievements of our GCSE pupils, and I look forward to welcoming them into the Sixth Form and building on their success. I am confident they will continue to be inspired and motivated to embrace all the opportunities afforded to them as we move into a new and exciting chapter together.’
