On Monday, 23 February, Cokethorpe School was delighted to welcome Anne Robertson and Elizabeth Smith from Ursuline Academy, Dallas, Texas, to explore collaboration as fellow Microsoft Showcase Schools.

The visit provided an opportunity for both schools to share ideas, observe digital learning in action, and discuss how technology can enhance teaching and learning while remaining rooted in research-informed best practice.
Alex Ladell-Stuart (Head of Digital Learning at Cokethorpe) commented:
“We were delighted to welcome Anne and Elizabeth from Ursuline Academy of Dallas to Cokethorpe so they could see not only how we teach with digital technology, but also share ideas as part of the Microsoft Showcase School Programme. We really value the opportunity to collaborate with other schools and to share our practice with colleagues from across the globe. As a Microsoft Showcase School, we are part of a community that thinks and plans forward, much in line with our approach as a research-informed school, so it is always beneficial to have other educators visit and share observations. We look forward to continuing this mutually beneficial relationship with Ursuline Academy Dallas and working together in the future.”
Anne Robertson (Chief Technology Officer at Ursuline Academy) added:
“It has been a valuable and rewarding trip, exploring best practices and opportunities for deeper collaboration between our two Microsoft Showcase Schools. It was informative and enjoyable to see Cokethorpe’s classrooms in action and meet with the staff who are driving delivery and digital learning innovation in the school.”
The visit marks the beginning of an exciting partnership, highlighting Cokethorpe’s commitment to innovation, global collaboration, and technology-enhanced learning.
