On Thursday 1 May, the Upper Sixth Prefects came together in the Dining Hall for a special occasion that marked both a celebration and a farewell as they approach the end of their time at Cokethorpe.
The evening began with a drinks reception, where students mingled and enjoyed the chance to unwind together. Dressed elegantly for the occasion, there was a sense of pride in the air, as well as the shared understanding that their time at Cokethorpe was drawing to a close. Conversations buzzed with memories, laughter, and a touch of nostalgia as teachers and students alike toasted to the accomplishments of the year.
Guests then enjoyed a delicious three-course meal, after which Sixth Formers gathered into Houses to take on the annual Prefects’ dinner quiz – a tradition that blends friendly competition with plenty of humour. The Prefects’ Dinner was a lovely evening, filled with good food, laughter, and shared memories – a fitting tribute to their role in the life of the School.
