OC Harry Phipps (2019, Swift) has been selected to represent Team England Adaptive Abilities Advanced at the ICU World Cheerleading Championships 2026 at Walt Disney World, Florida – his first time representing England on the world stage.
The Championships will see Harry join his teammates as they seek to defend their third consecutive World Championship gold medal, following Team England’s victories in 2024 and 2025. Competing in the Adaptive Abilities division, which unites athletes with and without disabilities, the team’s success highlights the power of inclusivity, teamwork, and shared ambition.
Born Deaf and having grown up in Witney, Harry’s enthusiasm for performance and sport began locally through Stagecoach and WOAPA, and was encouraged during his time at Cokethorpe. Since then, he has gone on to compete with Rebellion Allstars, Gymfinity Cheer & Dance, and the USW Coyotes, where he now serves as President for a second year.
Reflecting on his selection, Harry said, “For my teammates and me, this is more than a competition – it is the culmination of years of dedication and an opportunity to inspire others both locally and around the world.”
To help make this opportunity possible, the team are seeking sponsorship to support the costs of travel, training, and specialist equipment. Businesses and individuals who choose to support Team England will be helping athletes from across the country represent their nation and champion inclusivity on the global stage.
