Amy studied Architecture at university before working in the profession for a year, after which she discovered her passion for education and went on to train as a Design and Technology teacher.
Within her first year of teaching, Amy’s passion for supporting and nurturing pupils shone through, leading her to become a Head of Year. She subsequently took on roles as Director of Key Stage and Associate Assistant Head, with responsibility for PSHE, wellbeing, careers and pastoral care.
Throughout her career, Amy has developed a particular interest in pupil wellbeing and has consistently trained and delivered talks on wellbeing and the adolescent brain. She is also a trained Mindfulness teacher.
Amy joined Cokethorpe in 2024 as a teacher of Design Technology, and is also the Head of First Form .
