John Bennett turned his love of all things mechanical into a Mechanical Apprenticeship with ‘Metal Box,’ a leading international engineering company. He then went on to study for a Mechanical Engineering degree at Brunel University, where – in his final year – he specialised in Medical Engineering. Following a long career in industry, John designed a range of specialised surgical suction systems and travelled all over the world promoting his company and its products, which are now exported to over 35 countries, from South Africa through Europe and into the Middle and Far East.
In retirement, John continues to enjoy many sports, as well as spending time with his grandchildren.
John is also a former Cokethorpe parent.
