On Wednesday, 10 December, our pupils were treated to a magical visit to The Theatre Chipping Norton for this year’s spectacular production of Beauty and the Beast. Famous for its family-friendly pantomimes, the theatre once again delivered a show packed with wonder, enchantment and non-stop laughter.
Set in the quirky French town of Saint Saucisson, the story whisked us through a world of inventive scientists, mischievous enchantresses and the unforgettable Dame Fifi Fromage. Raff (Year 6, Symonds) said, ‘It was really funny, especially when the Panto dame blew kisses at the teachers!’ From mysterious chateaus to baguette battles, the performance kept everyone completely enthralled with its original songs, vibrant costumes and brilliant humour. Martha (Year 6, Lockwood) commented, ‘The costumes and the music were amazing’.
A special highlight for us was seeing Lily (Year 6, Baker) take to the stage with such confidence. Her all-singing, all-dancing role was performed with real joy, and she impressed the entire audience. We could not be prouder. Eloise (Year 6, Symonds) shared her thoughts on Lily’s performance, ‘We are really proud of Lily, she did so well. ‘

A huge thank you to the theatre team for giving our pupils a memorable festive experience. What a way to end the term!
