The Cokethorpe Community is delighted to be celebrating with its Upper Sixth students as they receive their hard-earned results today. With 69% of the grades awarded at A*-B, and the most common grade being an A, students can be justifiably proud of their achievements. Particular highlights include Physics, Art, Politics and Maths A Levels, where over two thirds of the cohort gained A* or A grades. Students on the BTEC Extended Diploma programme also excelled, with 90% gaining either starred distinctions or distinctions. These outstanding results reflect the dedication, hard work and ambition of our students, ably supported by our committed and expert staff.
Dr Sarah Squire, incoming Head of Cokethorpe School, said: “In getting to know Cokethorpe over recent months, I’ve witnessed the character, curiosity and ambition that is so abundant in our students. These results are an important part of a much bigger picture, and this morning we celebrate confident, accomplished young people heading off to exciting futures, from medicine to professional football.”
We are incredibly proud of what our students have accomplished today and over their time at Cokethorpe School. As a group, their energy, engagement and enthusiasm has had a hugely positive impact within the school community and beyond.
