The Prep School’s Christingle Service was an absolute joy. The service, which centres around the Christingle – meaning ‘Christ Candle’ in Germanic traditions – celebrated Jesus Christ as the ‘Light of the World’ in the most heart-warming way.
The children sang classic Christmas carols like In the Bleak Mid-Winter, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, and a truly magical, candle-lit version of Silent Night that lit up the room.
Thanks go to the wonderful Year 6 readers for bringing the Nativity story to life, to the Chamber Choir and soloists for their beautiful performances, and, of course, to those angelically holding the Christingles, adding a soft glow of warmth to the evening. It was an enchanting service that reminded us of the love and light that Christmas brings.
