On May Day, the Upper Sixth gathered for one final social evening together before the start of the examination period. In the warm May sunshine, the year group enjoyed a relaxed evening of loaded burritos and ice cream, providing a welcome opportunity to unwind and spend time together ahead of the busy weeks to come.
Following the meal, pupils listened to encouraging words from their Head of Year before heading outside for an energetic and highly competitive game of rounders. Murray (Upper Sixth, Feilden) commented that the match brought out the spirited side of even some of the quieter members of the year group, with plenty of enthusiasm and friendly rivalry on display. Jack (Upper Sixth, Gascoigne) and Casey (Upper Sixth, Harcourt) particularly enjoyed the ‘amazing food’, ‘exciting games’ and the giggles and laughter that provided some much-needed light relief during what can often be a stressful time of year.
The evening was a wonderful opportunity for the Upper Sixth to come together, relax and celebrate their friendships before embarking on their final examinations.
