The Third Form CEW trip to Combat Splat for a paintball session was packed with excitement, teamwork, and plenty of friendly competition. Pupils were buzzing with anticipation as they geared up for their first paintball adventure. The Combat Splat team delivered a thorough safety briefing and made sure everyone felt confident with the equipment before the games began. The highlight of the day was the final capture-the-flag game, where teamwork and strategy were key. Pupils left with big smiles, colourful gear and plenty of stories to share.
Third Form pupils also had the opportunity to complete their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award qualifying expedition along the Thames Valley. Over two days, pupils navigated a demanding route through local countryside, adapting impressively to high temperatures and a last-minute itinerary change. Their resilience and teamwork were evident throughout.
The route made full use of our School boathouse and the surrounding River Thames, offering opportunities to explore local nature reserves and enjoy the stunning scenery. It was a demanding but deeply rewarding experience, one that challenged pupils and brought out the very best in them.
