We are delighted to share the fantastic experiences Year 5 had on their residential trip to the Woodlands Education Centre in Wales. This centre is renowned for providing high-quality educational adventure residential trips, and their visit was no exception. The intrepid group enjoyed a high-quality adventure experience, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
The trip was designed with a holistic approach to developing independence, encouraging pupils to step outside their comfort zones and rise to challenges through kindness and helpfulness. The activities included canoeing, high ropes, zip lining, climbing wall, caving, nature walks, hiking up Hay Bluff, and orienteering. Each day was crammed full of adventures, allowing the pupils to grow whilst learning about sustainability and the world around them.
Throughout the trip, they demonstrated incredible teamwork, independence and leadership skills, organising their own equipment and serving each other during mealtimes. They behaved impeccably, encouraged and supported each other, and embraced every challenge with courage and enthusiasm. Thanks go to everyone whose support made this trip so successful. The future is bright for this lovely group, who have lots more exciting adventures to come.
