The entire First Form were lucky enough to enjoy a Drama workshop with the renowned and exciting Vamos Theatre company. Capitalising on the current term’s exploration of mime and physical expression, our pupils experienced a masterclass in how to use professional techniques such as ‘clocking’ and ‘leading’, using the guise of Vamos’s unique set of expressive masks.
Everyone was free to experiment with props and masks and they devised scenes which were moving, sincere and hilarious in equal measure. The Shed was ringing with laughter throughout both workshop sessions, and pupils will now hopefully build upon this experience and knowledge, as they explore the realms of stagecraft and communication in the Cokethorpe Drama course.
