Following their Prize Giving ceremony, our Prep School pupils transported the audience into the magical world of Beauty and the Beast with a truly spellbinding performance. From the first notes of Belle, it was clear that this production would be something special – a joyful showcase of the passion, confidence, and talent of every pupil involved.
The entire cast performed with remarkable flair, bringing humour, heart, and energy to the stage. The comedic timing of characters like Lumière and Cogsworth had the audience laughing out loud, while the more touching moments, such as the elegant ballroom dance between Belle and the Beast, and Belle’s moving change of heart, were portrayed with grace and sincerity.
Stunning costumes by Mrs Wilkinson added to the magic, from Belle’s iconic golden gown to the creative details of the enchanted castle’s teacups, clocks, and feather dusters. The live band delivered rousing renditions of favourites such as Gaston, Be Our Guest, and Beauty and the Beast. Ensemble harmonies were beautifully executed, and the soloists delivered unforgettable vocal performances.
At its heart, Beauty and the Beast reminded us of its enduring message: that true beauty lies within. Huge congratulations to all involved in this memorable and magical performance.
