On the evening of Tuesday 24 June, the Dining Hall was transformed into a space of elegance and celebration as Fifth Form pupils gathered for their annual end-of-year dinner. Having completed their final GCSE examinations, the occasion provided a well-earned moment to relax, reflect, and enjoy one another’s company before the next chapter begins.
Dressed in their finest, pupils arrived to find the Dining Hall beautifully decorated, setting the tone for what would be a memorable evening. The atmosphere was one of warmth, laughter, and shared achievement, as pupils and staff came together to mark the end of a significant chapter in the pupils’ time at Cokethorpe.

The dinner itself was a chance to celebrate not only the hard work and determination shown throughout the examination period, but also the friendships and experiences that have shaped the year group’s journey thus far. Speeches and toasts captured the spirit of the evening, recognising both individual and collective successes, while looking ahead to the many opportunities that lie beyond GCSEs.
As the evening drew to a close, it was clear that the Class of 2025 leave the Fifth Form with pride in all they have achieved and excitement for what comes next. We wish them every success as they embark on the next stage of their educational journey.
