Last week was a wonderful ‘Giving Week’ in the Prep School, filled with exciting activities that brought our School community together in meaningful ways. The week kicked off with a celebration of reading, as pupils gathered in their Houses to explore new books and share the joy of reading with one another. On Tuesday, we held our first clothes swap, where the children enjoyed seeing their old clothes find new life with others, learning valuable lessons about recycling and reusing.
Wednesday brought a heart-warming activity as each class decorated a plant pot, planted a flower, and gifted it to an adult in the School to thank them for their hard work and dedication. On Thursday, we held a book and board game swap, giving everyone the chance to recycle books and games while picking out something new to take home.
The week culminated with ‘open classrooms’, where parents and family were invited into School to see first-hand all the incredible work their children have done throughout the year. It was a fantastic morning of reflection, as families chatted about their children’s progress and growth since September. Throughout the week, pupils embraced the spirit of giving back to their community, supporting each other, and learning the true value of kindness and sustainability.
