Held on another bright summer morning, the Prep School Prize Giving event brought together pupils, parents, staff, and governors to reflect on a year of hard work and growth.
The ceremony opened with a warm welcome from Mrs Black, who spoke on the theme of ‘change’ and praised the resilience and enthusiasm shown by pupils across all year groups. Awards were presented for academic excellence, outstanding effort, and contributions to School life. We were also delighted to welcome pupils from across the Corinthian Partnership to collect their Corinthian Spirit awards.
Each prize winner was met with enthusiastic applause, and it was heartening to see the pride on their faces as they stepped forward. George (Upper Sixth, Vanbrugh), outgoing Prep School Prefect, offered words of encouragement, reminding everyone of the value of perseverance and curiosity. The Headmaster spoke warmly, addressing parents about the challenges of raising children today, the importance of risk-taking, and the role of the School in supporting them.
The morning concluded with picnics on the lawn and a chance for families and staff to mingle and celebrate together. Prize Giving remains a highlight of the School calendar – a moment to honour success, reflect on progress, and look ahead to the exciting opportunities yet to come.
