The latest Enlightenment Lecture, themed Brave New World, welcomed world-record-holding adventurer Captain Neil Laughton.
Students were captivated by stories of exploration, innovation and resilience, including becoming the first person to travel in a flying car from London to Timbuktu and completing the Explorers’ Grand Slam.
Will (Upper Sixth, Queen Anne), who introduced the lecture, reflected:
‘Mr Laughton’s advice to become an architect for your own life by setting goals and always showing resilience in the face of adversity was inspirational for all of us.’
An unforgettable evening encouraging ambition and bold thinking.
