World Book Day is always one of the most exciting events in the Prep School calendar, and this year was no exception! With the theme of ‘sharing books together’, the day was packed with creative fun and learning. Pupils (and teachers alike) got into the spirit, dressing up as their favourite book characters – from classic favourites like The Railway Children to modern heroes like Dog Man.
Throughout the day, classes teamed up to read stories to pupils of all ages, fostering a love of reading across the School. Pupils also unleashed their creativity, writing their own stories inspired by their favourite characters. In Maths lessons, we explored the fascinating world of time through the book Just a Second by Steve Jenkins, an eye-opening non-fiction book filled with mind-blowing facts about how time works. It was the perfect reminder that non-fiction books are just as much fun as stories!
It was a day filled with laughter, imagination, and a shared passion for books – one that will surely be remembered as a highlight of the year.
