Pupils in the Third Form participated in a carousel of activities, which included a messy visit to Combat Splat in Gloucestershire for a competitive paintballing session. A trip to Farmoor Reservoir proved a test of endurance as they battled high winds and some very questionable weather as they learnt to sail.
The other two days were spent undertaking an Outdoor Education expedition which also satisfies the requirements of the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award for those who wish to complete the award in full. This was a test of endurance for both groups!
The first group of pupils showed great courage in persevering through torrential downpours to complete their routes. It was the complete opposite for the second group, who battled through blazing sunshine to reach their destination. Regardless of weather, pupils enjoyed this wonderful opportunity to be independent and self-sufficient in the great outdoors and maintained high spirits and resolve throughout.
